about the Chamber and Leadership Corpus Christi

The Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization whose principle mission is to foster business growth by advocating business issues, enhancing the business climate, and providing services to members. First organized in 1924 by a group of local businessman interested in the growth of Corpus Christi, the Chamber has been instrumental in the following projects over the years, including the Harbor Bridge, Port Corpus Christi, the Corpus Christi Army Depot, the creation of the Texas State Aquarium, the U.S.S. Lexington and the creation of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.

Leadership Corpus Christi (LCC) is currently in its 38th year of helping develop and train current and future leaders of the community. LCC is
a program sponsored by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce Foundation. LCC facilitates open discussion and learning that builds the needed skills, knowledge, motivation and vision to develop a stronger community. Established in 1972 by the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce, the program is the third-oldest community leadership program in the nation. Over 1,000 graduates are having a powerful impact on virtually every community and business organization throughout Corpus Christi.
