Sidney Abraham Wolf and Thanksgiving

A religious leader and community organizer, Sidney Wolf became Rabbi in 1932 of the Jewish Temple Beth El, established in Corpus Christi in 1928. In 1935, he and the Episcopalian Reverend William Caper Munds, held a joint Thanksgiving service, an event that received national attention. Throughout his life as a religious and civic leader, Wolf served as chaplain to the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and served on the boards of several non-profit and community organizations. An initial organizer of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, he taught music appreciation at Del Mar College after his retirement.
